Denominations Explained
After Jesus’s Death, Burial, and Resurrection, there were no “Brick & Mortar Churches!” As a matter of fact, the Romans were actively rounding up, and persecuting the Christians for the next TWO HUNDRED PLUS YEARS! The Followers of Christ, those so-called Christians, literally, had to go “underground,” they actually had to meet in secret, and remain out-of-sight. They would meet in small groups in one another’s homes, etc. Therefore, once again for emphasis, let me remind you, that there were no “Brick & Mortar Churches” like we see today in the early beginnings of Christian Church History! This is noteworthy, and very important! There were NO Churches, and NO DENOMINATIONS!
What are DENOMINATIONS? DENOMINATIONS, first of all, are man-made Institutions, and as such, are simply labels for identifying various, in-common, affinity, people groups, with their accompanying preferences for their various renditions of “Brick & Mortar” Churches , or edifices, in which to meet! Examples of some of the modern day, main-line denominations are: Lutheran, Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, all of which only came into being a little more than 500 years ago, as a direct result of the Reformation period.
DENOMINATIONS can be very confusing and divisive, and DENOMINATIONS, in themselves, have absolutely nothing to add to one’s after death eternal security, or Salvation! That would be a direct Insult to “the finished work of Christ on the cross!”
The Way of Salvation Explained
Salvation only can happen between you and Jesus! When you admit that you are a sinner, and that you genuinely confess and repent of all of your sins, and ask the Creator God of the Universe, to forgive all of your sins. Upon doing that, you then acknowledge, accept and receive, by faith, Jesus’s Death, Burial, and Resurrection, as your personal Substitute, Savior and Lord, and as your satisfactory payment-in-full to God for all of your sins. Now if and when one does precisely that, according to God’s Word, the Bible says, you are then SAVED! You have been granted the gift of Eternal Salvation! Period!

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and shalt believe in thy heart that GOD hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
- Profoundly Simple? – YES
- Open to All? – YES
- Why? – SO NO ONE CAN BE DENIED!
